SEO tips, tip nr 1

SEO is all about making sure your site can be found by the search engines.
After my previous discovery that this site has a SEO Score of 98%, I started thinking, why not share some tips with my readers. So as from today I will create a series of post over the next few weeks that are all about making sure you get your SEO fixed on your own blog or site so you to can have a SEO Score of 98%. (I like to brag cheese)

Probably you all read about SEO elsewhere and most of the times you already know today’s tip, but I want to make sure you’ll be rewarded for using it. This you can’t find on many other sites.

My first tip in this series of posts is link your keywords and make sure they’re used on other sites to link to your site.

For example, from the start of this blog I used the keywords “Million dollar challenge” to link to this blog from other sites. Every time I subscribed to some kind of blog or site where you can leave your link, I’ve used these particular keywords. Or if you ask other site owners politely to link to our blog in return for a link to their blog or site, they’ll probably will do so.

If you search in Google using these keywords, you’ll see you’ll be getting around 500,000 results. My site is ranked on the 5th place. This means that everyone who searches on these keywords will see the link to my site without even going to the second page of the results. An advantage of being linked on the first page is more hits of course.

So really think carefully about which keywords you’ll be using to connect to your site. Ask yourself the question, how do I want to be found? If you got yourself an answer, then look at your competition for these keywords. The more competition, the more effort it’s going to take to rank higher. Or if you play your cards right the more hits you’ll receive if you figured out your way to Google’s first page.

And let me be the first one to help you with it. Of course there’s a little catch to it.
If you figured out the keywords you want to use, let me know and I’ll be sharing them in some upcoming linklove posts. Use the contact page or send me a mail (info at the1milliondollarchallenge.com) with your keywords and a brief description of your site or blog, max 50 words.

But before sending the mail, make sure you got a little post up and running about my site and put the link to this post in your mail. I’ll make sure your site will be featured in one of my future posts and you’ll get a permanent listing in my Link Page. Remember this is a PageRank 3 blog since last update, so you’ll be getting a decent backlink back to your site as well.

You can make the post as long as you like, but I would like to see an article with at least 50 words in it, that’s not so hard I think.
You can write about how fabulous you think I am, how good this site is , … cheese
No just kidding, make an honest post out of it, you’re totally free in about what you write.
The only thing I ask from you is that you use the following keywords: “earn easy money” to link to http://www.the1milliondollarchallenge.com

So will you be in my future linklove posts?

I have a pagerank 3 now

After the latest Pagerank update, this blog now officially has a PageRank 3.
Last Wednesday I’ve seen some other blogs that changed PageRank and I’ve started to check mine on some datacenters.
At that time mostly I’ve got the response ‘off’ from the datacenters, so I knew for sure the update has started. So Friday night I’ve tested it again and now I get PR3 responses.

So what’s the fuzz about PageRank you might be thinking?
I feel PageRank is so much overrated the last years. I’ve seen numerous of Blogs or sites that have a PR1 or even PR0, but get thousands and thousands of visitors every day. So why care about it?
Well if you want to make some money and you don’t have thousands of visitors a day, a good pagerank can help you with it.
A lot of sites that help you make some money measures your site’s ‘popularity’ by your pagerank. The higher your PR the higher the payouts.

There are a few things you must consider if you want to get a higher pagerank yourself.
First of all look at your own site, make sure you get your SEO right.
After this you can search for the quality backlinks to your own site. The more the better.

And you, did the update changed your PageRank?

Earned my easiest $20 so far!

Ok, I got your attention didn’t I?

Now you want to know how I did it?

Well very easy, I subscribed to AdToll.

AdToll is a fairly new Ad network from Australia and I’ve looked at some other blogs posts first before subscribing myself.
So If you’re tired of AdSense, give AdToll a go. You can choose between different ad spaces, from a 468x60 top banner to a 320x250 Video ad. And they’ve introduced the peel away ad. Just like flipping a page in a book, very cool. But I think this is only usefull for those blogs or sites who are using the full width of a screen. On the AdToll homepage you can see a preview, but I overlooked it the first time, and that’s because the theme AdToll is using focusses your eyes to the center of the screen.

Another good thing you can do at AdToll is set your own price per week. But they recommend to set it to automatic. This you should review after a couple of weeks, if you see your spots are getting filled up easy or not.

So as from yesterday AdToll ads will be displayed on the Million Dollar Challenge.
After dumping AdGridWork late January, I found myself a new possible moneymaker to play with.

At the end of this post you can see a little preview of how the AdToll video ad could look like.
Wish me luck and don’t forget to subscribe to AdToll, as they currently offer every subscriber $20 just to sign up. Easy as that!

Make money with PPP

Today PayPerPost announced that they will make it a bit easier to join their program.
Until yesterday the rule was that your blog needed to be 90 days old and had a minimum of 20 existing posts before they even consider it for a review.
Now your blog need to be 30 days old and only have 10 existing posts.
With this adjusted rule, PPP wants to allow many good blogs and bloggers into their marketplace.

So if you recently have been rejected by PPP, this is the time to resubmit your blog once again for a review. Maybe you’ll get accepted this time. And if you never submitted your site to PPP before, maybe this is the time to monetize your blog a bit.

I know that it’s generating some extra income for this blog every now and then.
If you get accepted to the marketplace and start writing reviews, I have a few tips I do follow.

  • Don’t create reviews for the money, create them for the fun of it, the money is an extra.
  • Be honest in your reviews.
  • Don’t forget your site-wide disclosure policy
  • And remember, after every review, must be followed by a normal blog post.

Have fun making money!
