A few months back I’ve watched the first episode of Heroes and immediatly I was addicted to the serie ![]()
After seeing the plot of season one I couldn’t wait for season two to begin. Also I was curious how they’re going to make the serie as good as the first season.
Now I’ve seen the first 2 episodes of season 2 and I’m going to see episode 3 in the weekend.
The story so far, is once again a master piece written by Tim Kring.
For those who didn’t seen it or didn’t have a chance to see it, here are a few outlines of season 2.
The season starts 4 months after they killed Sylar. What happened to Peter and his brother? Did they explode and realy died?
Well no, Nathan seems to live an anonymous life now. Peter was found chained in a container. I Stil don’t know how he got there? All he had was a little box with some of his belongings in it.
Claire, her father, mother and little brother moved to another state to start over a new life, trying to stay away from ‘the Company’.
And as for Hiro, he’s still back in time 400 years, together with his idol Kensei. Although I’m starting to believe he’s going to be Kensei himself.
A few nice things to know is that there’s a boy in Claire’s class that also can fly (related to her real father?)
The Kensei, Hiro believes to be the real Kensei isn’t Japanese, but English and can regenerate himself, like Claire could.
And there’s a brother and sister (twins) with powers who are trying to get some help from Mohinder Suresh in the States. She cries black tears and for some kind of reason it kills everyone in the neighbourhood.
Only her brother can seems to help her control it, by being by her side. He himself can seem to heal people as he brought back a woman that died by the tears of her sister earlier.
Hiro’s father and Peter and Nathan’s mother both got a picture with themself on it, together with the sign of Kensei. This means they’re going to die within 24 hours.
Hiro’s father died by being pushed off the roof by a stranger with powers (maybe they find a new way to get Sylar back in the picture?)
You can see, a lot of new developments in the 2nd season.
Last week I’ve been pretty busy with non-blogging stuff.
At work we were in preparation for the ‘Open-Business Day’. This is an 1 day event here in the Flemish region of Belgium. On this day everyone can take a look behind the scenes at the companies who take part in this event.
As it was the first time we took part in this event we didn’t know what to expect. Will we get a lot of visitors or won’t we? Who’s going to take the time to visit an IT company?
We made around 400 bags with goodies in it, so we can give them away at the visitors that made the effort to come by on a Sunday. Also we organized food, drinks and ice-cream for the one’s who were thirsty or hungry
.
For the people who are really interested in IT, we showed a Blade Chassis from HP and IBM, did a few demo’s, made a little ‘test your reaction time’ game with a PLC, some push buttons and some lamps. Also we had a stand where we showed the test analysis of a Blue-Ray disc. We showed some of our in-house developed applications for a few hospitals. And for the smarter visitors we made a little contest, so they could win something.
At the end of the day, we can be very satisfied, around 600 to 800 people visited us, so not bad at all!
In my personal time I was (and still am) very busy in my garden. When we moved into our house a couple of years back we didn’t put much effort into the garden. Just made sure the grass was growing, so our dog won’t bring in to much dirt in our home. We thought the time was there to re-arrange once and for all. At the right side of the patio the ground is higher then on the left side, so I levelled this last week. tomorrow I’m going to make sure the ground is perfect flat so next summer my grass looks like a pool table ![]()
Earlier today the Belgian people where in shock after a brutal attack on our Belgian Palace.
Luckily our King and Queen weren’t in the palace itself at the moment of the explosion.
On Youtube there’s some footage of the explosion itself, showing a couple who are posing in front of the palace when suddenly a big explosion occurs.
At least that’s what a Belgian newspaper said on their website. So it’s a Hoax
But I must say it’s a great one. The movie itself is made just like it’s real.
It remains a mystery who put the video online. But one things for sure, the police probably is going to find out who made it and who placed it online.
If you haven’t read about it yet, Shoemoney and John Chow have challenged each other on who will get the most new RSS subscribers this month.
A couple of weeks ago they talked about creating a new marketing challenge. So they came up with this RSS challenge between their blogs. Who ever wins this, can put a link on the other one’s blog why he’s better.
And of-course the evil John Chow has a plan to win this. He’s giving away the following to help him win.
And there’s more coming in the next few days according to John.
My money is on John’s Full feed RSS.
All this made me thinking, at the end of the month they count how many new subscribers they’ve got comparing to the beginning of the month. But shouldn’t they compare the percentual rise of subscribers? Shoemoney has more readers, so he has more reach. Will the winner be the same if it comes down to just a few new RSS subscribers. No, at the moment John has 8585 RSS subscribers and Shoemoney has 10833 subscribers.
If they both get 1000 new subscribers, according to them they will have a tie then, but actually John should win then. He wil have a percentual rise of 11,65%, Shoemoney will only have a rise of 9,23% in this case. So John clearly won then.
But I’m sure that we (at the moment smaller blogs) all can do better then them (percentual seeing that is). At the moment I have 5 subscribers. I know that’s not much, but we got to start somewhere
. If for example I just got 100 extra RSS subscribers, my percentual rise will be 2100%. Eat that John Chow and Shoemoney!!!
So to everyone who’s reading this, post your current RSS subscribers here together with the link to subscribe to your RSS Feed and I’ll check your total the 1st of November. After this I’ll post your percentual rise here in a new post together with the results of the RSS challenge from John and Shoemoney. And I and hopefully other readers also will subscribe to your RSS feed too.
Oh yeah don’t forget to subscribe to my Full Feed RSS !!! ![]()
