Just today I got the opportunity to look at a brand new site with all kind of rap artists and albums on it.

My first impression was very good, a nice layout, that has just enough ‘bling’ to feature on a rap-site.
The header is nicely created with 4 Icons in the Rap industry, although I’m certain I will get reactions about some artists who’re not in the header and are Icons themselves.
Directly available on the top right is the search button, type in the artist or album you’re searching and if it’s in the database they show it.
The rightbar also shows some ‘Top lists’, a link to the forum and some upcoming new albums.

On the homepage’s contentpane, there always a featured artist block displayed together with some links to more information about the artist.

Underneath this it shows the latest rap albums that are released. I only have 1 remark about this, everything looks really great, but I think if the ‘New releases’ title itself will be a link it can drive more visitors to the next page. The title is more noticeable than the ‘View All New releases’ link just right from it. And this is because this link is with a gold color on a white background.
But that’s my opinion. I don’t know what you think about it?

And another opinion I have, but this is very personal, is the footer, it’s all centered out. Ok, this can be nice, but to me it looks like there wasn’t any time anymore to pay some attention to this. I feel if you can re-organize this footer a bit the site in the whole will look so much better than it looks now.
But overall, well done!!!
