Just about a month ago I joined Entrecard. What a ride it was so far. And I thought it’s about time to show the list which brought the most clicks to my site until now.
I don’t know about you, but at first I didn’t pay any attention to sites where I was going to put my card on. So some where a total waste of the Entrecard credits, but some were not.

One of these sites proved to be my number one click generator.
After this I’ve started out buying ads at a few of the cards displayed on the most recommended page.
A few of them approved my ad and a few didn’t. 3 weeks back I even got a mail saying my card was approved for John Chow’s (no introduction needed) site. Hell I even dedicated a post to it, saying my card was on JohnChow.com.
In that post I stated that I was happy to just reach about 50 clicks from his site. Well I came pretty close, 44 to be exactly.

So here’s my top 10, listed from 10 to 1.

No. 10: Cool Contest blog, paid 2 EC, got 14 clicks, costs 4 EC today.
No. 9: ShopDogDiaries, paid 213 EC, got 15 clicks, costs 237 EC today.
No. 8: EZ-OnlineIncome, paid 2 EC, got 15 clicks, costs 68 EC today.
No. 7: Marketingdeviant, paid 277 EC, got 16 clicks, costs 250 EC today.
No. 6: The Coolest Gifts, paid 2 EC, got 16 clicks, costs 4 EC today.
No. 5: Mixed Market Arts, paid 50 EC, got 18 clicks, costs 88 EC today.
No. 4: Daily Stock Picks, paid 60 EC, got 32 clicks, costs 285 EC today.
No. 3: Thinredline, paid 242 EC, got 42 clicks, costs 246 EC today.
No. 2: John Chow dot com, paid 248 EC, got 44 clicks, costs 236 EC today.
And on Number ONE:
No. 1: My Internet Marketing Adventures, paid 232 EC, got 111 clicks, costs 100 EC today.

One of the fastest growers in this list is Daily stock picks, a few weeks back he asked me to create him an Entrecard card like mine, a big red button, but with his custom text on it. From then on the amount you’ll have to pay to advertise on his site kept on growing and growing. Talking about how to get your site in the spotlight, he did wonderfull.

So what does this list say?
You don’t have to pay much to get some decent exposure for your site, you just have to find out where to advertise your ad. You can take the risk with paying a lot and not getting that much clicks in return, or search for that site that will give you some good hits for a bit of EC. If you take all into account, maybe my No. 6 and No. 10 gave the most clicks for the EC I’ve paid.
So maybe it’s even better paying 50 site 4 EC then paying 1 site 200 EC?

But I really want to see some similar lists like this popping up. Maybe we can find some very well hidden traffic generator sites within the Entrecard community?
