F1 Thriller season ended

Half an hour a go the 2007 F1 Season ended with a winner nobody thought still could win.
Kimi Raikkonen claimed the 2007 F1 World Championship just in front of the unfortunate Luis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
As the race started, Hamilton made a little error when trying to overtake his teammate Alonso claimed the third place from Hamilton.
Hamilton who just had to made sure he finished at least on the 5th place to win the championship was a little nervous it seemed.
Just a lap later he made a 2nd mistake that almost cost him the race by just not going of track. A bit later his McLaren was very slow by an technical error but he stayed calm and corrected the error to continue the race.
Although he did fallback to the 18th place he made a comeback to place number 7 by overtaking car after car. Especially how he passed by Barichello was showing his driving skills.
I surely hoped that Kubica and Rosberg got into a small accident at the time they’re were fighting for the 4th place, so Hamilton still could end on his needed 5th place, but unfortunately for him they didn’t.

The Iceman Raikonnen gained the lead by overtaking his teammate Massa after a pitstop to make sure people wouldn’t talk about team orders smile
But he surely did deserve to win the World Title, after all he won the most races this season.

A remarkable entrance was the return of a Nakajima into the Formula 1. 20 years after his father Saturo raced a F1 car, Kazuki made his debut. He finished on the 10th place and almost sended one of his team-members for plastic surgery in Miami. When he went in for a pitstop he came in a little to hard and started to slide the last few meters, hitting in to 2 people of his team.

After a Thriller season, Hamilton, Alonso or Raikonnen all did deserve the World Title, but it was the surprising Hamilton that went home with the Trophy.
Really too bad for Hamilton, but he will have the Rookie of the Year debut for a long long time I think.
