How to get traffic via MyBlogLog?

So you got a domain registered, got your blog up and running and made a few posts to your new blog. Congratulations, but what then?
Keep posting quality content and getting traffic to your site should be one of the first things on your mind.
How can you do this? Well there are lots of ways, like in my previous post: 200 Blog directories to post your blog to, but today I like to talk about how you can use MyBlogLog to get free traffic to your site.

First thing you have to do is sign-up to MyBlogLog, this will only take a minute.
After this you can edit your profile. Fill in what you think people should have to know about you.
Upload a picture of yourself or any other picture you like. I’ll explain later why you must do this.
Setup your community by adding your blog, so other people can join it afterwards. Don’t forget to upload a screenshot of your blog!!!

The following can be a little strange, but it will payoff in the long run. Get to know other people on MyBlogLog.
How? Take a look at the member page, here you’ll see 3 easy tools. “Hot members”, “New members” and “Who’s reading what?”.

  • Hot Members are handpicked by the owners of the MyBlogLog. They use search trough their stats to see who’s hot. But you can also email them and maybe get you noticed on this way.
  • New Members speaks for itself.
  • Who’s reading what? Actually this name should be changed to “Who joined who’s community?”. As it reflects the last 6 users who joined a community.

  • If you click on any members picture you can read their profile and what sites or blogs they author. Also you can leave them a message to introduce yourself or to add them as your contact.
Once you’ve added a contact, they will see this on their “My Home” page and hopefully add you as a contact.
When this is done why not join their community? Maybe they join yours in return?

Also DO VISIT their site and leave a comment if you like, it’s not all about your own site.
There’s also another reason why you should pay other sites a visit. Most of them have the MyBlogLog widget installed. This widget shows the latest members who visited the site by showing the members picture.
And if someone clicks on it, they will be taken to the members profile page. This is also the reason why you should upload a picture to your profile. Would you click on an “anonymous” image?

Another cool widget that MyBlogLog offers is the stats tracking code. Implement this code into your site and you can view some extra stats of your site. What they viewed, what they clicked and where they came from.

You can join 15 communities and add 15 contacts to your profile every day, sot that’s a lot of potential visitors out there.
If you do this kind of networking on a daily bases, you’ll soon have a lot of extra traffic to your site. And surely there will be some that will keep coming back for the quality content that you’re writing for your blog.

If you like to add me to your network, click on the link. I’ll surely return the favor and pay your site a visit!

Good morning. Thank you all for being here. I just got a firsthand look at the terrible effects of the Squire fire. First I want to thank the fire crews, the men and women of Oregon and surrounding states who risk their lives to put these fires out. On behalf of a grateful nation, I want to thank you for your service to the country, and thank you for what you do.
