After a few weeks working in my garden, I finally started to run again.
Last weekend I created myself a training schedule that I have to follow. My first goal is to run 1 hour uninterrupted again.
Today’s run wasn’t that hard, although it was raining really hard, I didn’t had any difficulty’s.
I’ve started to run at a normal pace. 4 runs of 5 minutes each with a minute walking in between. On Wednesday and Friday I’ll have to run this also.
Sunday I play soccer, so this is a kind of interval training then at a very high pace, knowing myself. ![]()
I’ve created my training schedule so I have a run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And each week my training changes. Next week I have to run for 6 minutes, walk 1 minute, run 7 minutes, walk 1 minute again and finally run for 6 minutes again. So still not that hard, but I’ve learned that running with a decent tempo takes time.
Last year I’ve ran the 15k here in Hasselt and my time wasn’t that good comparing to others, but I was very happy with it.
Hopefully I can keep up with the training and I can run an even faster time next year on the 15k.
Maybe half a marathon is an option by then. ![]()
Anyhow I’ll keep you posted from time to time.
In the next few days I’m also going to look for a new heart rate watch. At the moment the Polar RS200SD scores the highest points to me for a reasonable prices watch where you also can track your distance with.
Does anyone have any experience with a good heart rate watch?
