This Friday stumble, brought me to webdistortion.com’s website checklist, 20 things to check before going live.

Ending up on this page after my 5th stumble of the day, this surely can come in to use if I’m going live with the redesign of my other site that I’m still working on. I know, it’s taking a while, but due to lack of time etc…

Anyway, reading trough the post, you can find some useful SEO tips as well.
Tip 1, 2 and 3 are very good examples of some easy SEO implementations you can make to your page. Especially the Title tag is easily forgotten on many blogs.
Tip 6 regarding the footer year copyright, is also something that everyone tends to forget. In the example shown, he’s using javascript, but you can also use some simple php

<?php echo date('Y');?>

As for tip 17, I didn’t even know it existed. Surely have to do this one.

Ah I also have an update on my previous post, ‘Entrecard banned me’. Well actually they didn’t ban me. A few hours after I’ve received the banned message, I could login again. At morning the day after, I still could login, so everything ok. Once at work I’ve tried to login again because I received a message to approve an advertiser, but again I received the banned message.
This made me think that instead of banning me or my account, they are banning the IP-range I’m on.
At home I’ve tested if I could logon and yes I could, so I’ve contacted an admin and explained it and yes they were banning the IP range I’m on. So that’s basically it, I’m not evil at all
