Bye Bye Blogrush
A few months back BlogRush started with an excellent idea. Displaying a widget on blogs with links from posts on other blogs in the same area.
Almost every blog stepped into the hype, giving BlogRush even more exposure what they certainly did deserve at that time.
Even I did it.
On September 16 I’ve made a post about a new tool to generate traffic.
A few days later I talked about why you should join the BlogRush hype
And almost 1 month later, my view on BlogRush changed from “What a great tool” to “pff, they started to soon”
This post I created because they couldn’t get their site up and running to show the stats of each blog.
On the other hand, the widget itself did work and was generating traffic, so far so good.
But that post did in fact cut me off from the program. A few days after I made that post, I got an mail saying my blog didn’t comply with their policies. I immediately responded with the question “Which policy I’m not complying to?”. I never heard of them again. Not even after my second, third and fourth mail.
I didn’t care less.
A few weeks later, I’ve read on another blog that BlogRush finally get their stats working and that the site works. So I gave them a second chance and re-registered my blog.
This time I got accepted to join them.
So the BlogRush widget once again found its way to the Million Dollar Challenge.
I was hopeful that it will bring me some new visitors, but the truth turned out the other way.
At first it did deliver a few visitors, but then it just died I think.
With no visitors at all.
So today I decided to put the BlogRush widget in the trashbin before they cut me off once again for talking ‘bad’ about them. ![]()
What are your experiences with Blogrush, good or bad?
Any other widgets I can try?
Anyone have good experiences with Entrecard?

Pete,
I feel your pain
If it isn’t returning anything, why keep it and continue to support them.
Create some free space by removing them and put something new and fresh here then, maybe this will bring new readers to your site.
Good luck!

Me too! Entrecard is way much better. I’ll flush blogrush in my site if I find the time.

Congrats on “Flushing the Rush”. I’ve gotten more traffic to my rejected blog criticizing them than I ever got to my accepted blogs from their spam spewing widget.
EntreCard, while far from perfect, is a lot better concept and a lot better operated.

Frank,
You’re absolutly right about this.
Entrecard is really delivering what it says. And it’s lots of fun also

I’ll be removing my Blogrush widget tomorrow. I get perhaps 1 or 2 visitors per thousand impressions. It’s just not worth the spaceit uses. While Blogrush gives me about 2 visitors a day Entrecard gives me between 30 and 50. Many just drop and run but some do read and I’m pretty sure a few subscribe. I came to this site via Entrecard and just signed up…
By the way if you need to buy or sell credits check out EntreCash.com

I have that blog rush widget on my site but it doesn’t bring me any hits, perhaps I should consider removing it.
