Stumbling Friday – Smooth Glass Tutorial
From now on, I’m going to make a post like this one every Friday.
What’s this about?
Not like those professional bloggers, who have all the time of the world to think about what they’re going to post next
, it’s hard to post decent posts if you also have a fulltime job. So to get some structure in my posting habits, I continuously think about what can I post about now or in the future?
I came up with the idea to blog about a site or blog I came across while stumbling.
So every Friday from now I’ll click my stumble button 5 times and the 5th one will get the luck to appear here on my site.
But to reward my readers into my stumbling adventures, I have the following proposition to make.
For every 5 comments made on my stumble post of that week, I’ll randomly choose 1 of the 5 comments and stumble this persons site. So you’ll have 1 chance out of 5 to get stumbled by me.
And you probably know that a good stumble can bring in a lot of traffic to your site.
So here’s my first (5th) Stumble I got when using the StumbleUpon toolbar.
The page I landed on today teaches you how to make the following Smooth Glass type image with Photoshop.

It’s a 2-step tutorial, first you’ll have to look at another tutorial to get some raindrops on your background. After this is done, you can apply the next few steps to complete a great effect to your image.
Remember, for every 5 comments on this post, I’ll stumble 1 lucky winner.

Hey I think you have come up with a winning idea. Who doesn’t want their pages Stumbled. I think you should check your link to the raindrop site. It is an interesting site but the article isn’t there on the initial link.
I like that you sent me an email also. Thanks! Keep up the good work.

SeoContest2008, thx for the compliment.
The other commentators also like the idea it seems, so I’m very flattered with this positive responses.
I’ve already see one of the commentators take over the idea and she made it a Stumbling Day on her blog.
I’m happy to see the idea catches on

I like using the Stumble button because I find sites that are unique that I otherwise wouldn’t have ever came across. We as bloggers get caught up in the blogosphere sometimes and it is good to step out of our world and see what other sites are out there.
I like your Stumble idea for each Friday. I subscribed to your RSS feed, so I will look forward to your post every Friday.
